Our Software Development Group (Dev Group) helps our customer customize their application to their specific business need. This includes adding modules to the application, customizing features, integrating with external application or even building a new site from scratch. Here are some case studies of recent development projects that were done at our customer request.

Like Myspace

This customer contacted our Dev Group after licensing our software. He was very impressed with the site, its features, and the potential for the application. He explained however that he currently used myspace.com and had 1,200 friends online with myspace. He wanted to invite these friends to his new site but wanted the landing page to look ‘just like myspace’. Our Dev Group went to work and reviewed various designs with the customer. Within a few days we had redesigned and rewrote his landing page. It looked just like he envisioned it and he was happy to start inviting his friends to his new site.

Track Clicks

Our application comes with our own ad server and provides different ways for our customers to post their own ads or use google ads on their site. Our ad server gives ad statistics based on the amount of impressions per text or banner ads displayed on the site. We provide full super admin control for our customer to manage these ads, to approve ads, to reject ads, to post ads from corporate advertisers and a variety of other features. This customer however wanted to have additional ad statistics for her site. She wanted to know which ads were being clicked on the most to compare with the impression statistics that were being given. Our Dev Group was able to help her with this by designing and developing the required code to capture the required additional statistics she needed to better manager her advertising inventory.

Two Sets of Customers

A client in a very specific business niche explained to our Dev Group that he has two different set of customers. Our standard social networking site was perfect for Customer Group A. He could use it with these customers to have them network and communicate online. We would however need to make changes to our application because of his unique business model. Customer Group B would not use the social networking tools. We would need to create a completely different application for these customers. His revenue model included the ability to generate revenue from both Customer Group A and Customer Group B and we therefore had to build these revenue features. His business model also required the sharing of some specific data between both customer groups as well. Our Dev Group did an analysis of his business and recommended an approach. Major areas of our standard social networking application were rewritten for Customer Group A. And a completely different application was written for Customer Group B. The applications were integrated at specific integration points to share relevant data and a Super Admin module was provided to allow him to manage both customer groups and revenue from one central point.

The end application was a success and was delivered on time and within budget.
