rSitez—Where Innovation Meets Ingenuity
When Johnathan Colon wanted to promote his business, GenNextMusic.com (www.gennextmusic.com), On the web, he had a clear vision of what he needed. He just couldn’t find anyone with the technology to help him get there--until he found rSitez (www.rsitez.com), a unique social networking development company.
“I worked with a bunch of web 2.0 companies and a bunch of website design companies,” Colon remembered. But while these companies offered generic networking software, no one could customize their software for his specific needs.
Colon’s GenNextMusic.com is a free community that allows musicians to share their own original recordings, communicate with each other and purchase musical beats and instrumentals. By helping musicians increase exposure to their music, Colon believes they have a greater chance of success.
“I want my site to be able to make people famous,”he said.
But even a great concept can fail without someone who understands your goal. Colon couldn’t find anyone who understood until he contacted rSitez’s
founder and CEO, Rohan Hall.
“I did a lot of research. Before I found rSitez, I found Rohan Hall. I heard
a lot about him online and the kind of business he runs.” Colon
recalled. Still a little wary, however, Colon checked Hall out to make
sure rSitez could do everything he needed to create and promote his
music site.
“There are a bunch of sites where you have blogging, or forums or
chat rooms,” Colon explained. “[rSitez] has all of theirs in one
package and you get this with just the basic package. A lot of
companies don’t offer that.”
With rSitez, Colon created a site that encompassed everything he needed: a business website to promote and sell products as well as a social networking hub to build a community through blogs, articles, forums and chat rooms. Instead of needing a Facebook or MySpace page as well as a separate website, Colon found he could bring all of his members together on one site, through rSitez.
The Gennextmusic.com site lets members issue invitations, blog about events, write about industry trends, chat, submit videos and photos, apply for jobs, participate in music contests,
and even listen to music or purchase products.
“A lot of users have gained exposure via their songs being featured on the home page,” Colon said. “We feature great music so while users are logging in, they get a chance to
hear music from our featured artist.”
Musicians have gained additional exposure through chat rooms.“The chat rooms have been especially popular among users,” Colon said. Musicians can create chat rooms for
their family, fans or friends, and can discuss topics and network.
When he compares his site to his competitors’ sites, Colon is very pleased. “I have way more features just with what [rSitez] gave me than all these other websites combined,” Colon said.
While being able to customize his site was essential to Colon, he soon realized rSitez offered an additional bonus: the ability to monetize his site.
Adding codes to allow for advertising was a simple process, Colon realized. He wanted to make money from his site immediately but some software companies required a waiting
period before that benefit was available.
“As soon as I joined [rSitez] I was told ‘this is how you can monetize. There’s more than one way.’ And it was all free,” he added.
For Gennextmusic.com, Colon makes money through ads that appear on his site, but rSitez also offers other ways to monetize such as through paid memberships and nonprofit
donations,
While Colon has built his subscriber list to 1000 musicians in just four months, developing his site is still a work in process. With plans to increase his subscriber list by at least
1400% by the end of the year, he’ll continue making edits to improve “his baby.”
In fact, he’s recently spoken with Rohan Hall about a new edit that would bring increased revenue through his site. “I always come up with new jobs and edits and new plans,” Colon
laughed.
But no matter what new idea Colon has, rSitez is ready for it. “With rSitez,” Colon said, "the impossible is possible."
The following are some of standard features that are included in our sites
